"One World Many Faces" is the theme of the Iconic Toowoomba Languages and Cultures (TLC) Festival - an annual celebration of the AD-logodiversity in our community and a showcase of talents and colour from across the world!

The vision of the Toowoomba Languages and Cultures (TLC) Festival is a celebration of the diversity of languages and cultures that exist within the Toowoomba region. The festival has included participants from around South West and South East Queensland.
 
Our aim is to bring together different organisations within the Toowoomba region to support and encourage a sense of belonging and community harmony in our area. The TLC Festival is an opportunity for families to have a fun day out that offers something for everyone.

There are performances from schools, professional artists and community groups, static displays of cultural interest and information from major service providers as well as diverse food stalls, activities for the young and young-at-heart and competitions.    
 
Held in the beautiful Queens Park at the edge of Toowoomba's CBD, the festival brings colour and excitement to the city over a weekend in August.
Entry fees: $5 Adults & children free.
 
The Toowoomba Languages and Cultures Festival:
  • provides an entertaining, drug and alcohol free family day out;
  • provides opportunities to try new foods and activities;
  • creates a sense of belonging to a diverse and interesting community; and
  • gives our community a chance to showcase their cultural, culinary and linguistic heritage.

The organising committee for the TLC Festival is a partnership between Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC), TIMS, Modern Language Teachers Association Queensland (MLTAQ), Mercy Family Services, Lifeline Darling Downs & SW QLD, Carers Qld, USQ Multicultural Centre, and many cultural community groups.

The Ninth TLC Festival has been recognised by the State Government as an iconic festival of the region who have gives us a grant of $20,000.  In 2012 A record crowd of over 18,000 people enjoyed a family day out. With 40 International Food stalls, 3 stages with over 65 performances, language & Culture displays by Schools and scores of activities for children, 40+ Health & Wellness Expo, 30+ Information display and multi-faith displays, roving performances, camel rides and 25 market stalls featuring regional, national and international products, the festival provided one of the most colourful celebrations of the diverse contributions in the the region. The festival attracted over 12,000 people.
