The vision of the Toowoomba Languages and Cultures (TLC) Festival is a celebration of the diversity of languages and cultures that exist within the Toowoomba region. The festival has included participants from around South West and South East Queensland.
Our aim is to bring together different organisations within the Toowoomba region to support and encourage a sense of belonging and community harmony in our area. The TLC Festival is an opportunity for families to have a fun day out that offers something for everyone.

  • creates a sense of belonging to a diverse and interesting community; and
  • gives our community a chance to showcase their cultural, culinary and linguistic heritage.

The organising committee for the TLC Festival is a partnership between Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC), TIMS, Modern Language Teachers Association Queensland (MLTAQ), MDA, CEDAR Centre, Carers Qld, University of Southern Queensland, and many cultural community groups.

We are very grateful to Cultural Diversity Queensland and all our sponsors and partners for their generous cash and in-kind support which makes this event so successful each year.
