The 11th Toowoomba Languages & Cultures Festival to be held on 14 August, Sunday was launched on 9 May by the Mayor, Paul Antonio along with Gitie House President TIMS, Francis Xavier President Pasifika Toowoomba, Maria Chong Nee President Samoa Group of Toowoomba, Kila Xavier President Toowoomba PNG Group and Peter Munster Director Student Engagement & Leadership, USQ.
Zonta International organised the Human Rights flag raising ceremony on 10 Dec 2015 at the Village Green.
The audience pledged to end domestic violence with Mayor Paul Antonio who is also a White Ribbon Ambassador. The keynote address on Human Rights was given by TIMS President Mrs Gitie House. Zonta District 22 Lieutenant Governor Ms Ans Van Erp condemned domestic violence.
